MULTIUNIT HOUSING: AFFORDABLE HOUSING
WEST NEWTON ARMORY
Approved by unanimous vote of the Zoning Board of Appeals in January, 2023, the adaptive reuse and expansion of the West Newton Armory by Metro West Collaborative Development and Civico will create 43-units of affordable housing. Working with Davis Square Architects and the Development Team, RBLA detailed outdoor walking and gathering spaces for use by residents and Metro West’s on-site office staff. The proposed landscape plantings highlight the historic façades. Construction began in 2025.
